SOS-Usage-Based Hiring
With SOS Usage-Based Hiring, you enlist developers or teams to contribute to your project as needed. These individuals are specialists in their fields and can be engaged as required, such as software designers, architects, creative designers, testers, or entire test teams. They will remain connected to your project and are involved as per project requirements. Billing is done based on actual hours worked, settled at the end of each month.
To enhance value, you must add expert hours in the value stream. So hire them through SOS-Usage-Based if you can't afford them full-time—higher value at minimum investment.
Just identify the tasks that require special skills, talk to us to involve the respective experts on those tasks and agree with the prices and plan. Then simply relax.
Just pay for the hours your developers have spent on your project. There will be no commitment of minimum monthly hours. There is no unpleasant surprise on rates either—minimum risk from your side.
They will work from our office, and we will handle everything related to office, HR and operation-related maintenance. We have dedicated people to do all the supervision for you. You can concentrate more and more on your business.
Manage your project with the world's #1 project management software, Jira or any cloud project management software you choose. Moreover, we have telemetry tracking, which will guide us and tell us if something is wrong.

SOS Usage Based Hiring - When to Use
While developing your software application, you will encounter some situations where you find the SOS Usage-Based Hiring to be the most appropriate hiring method. Below are some of those.
Tasks that Require Special Skill-Set
In a project's lifecycle, specialized tasks like software architecture, homepage mock-up design, wireframe building, or load testing require expertise that may not be affordable on a dedicated basis. In such cases, ongoing or SOS-based part-time hiring is optimal to avoid inefficiency and maintain quality.
Avoid an Extra Dedicated Developer
Sometimes, there can be a situation when you will not need an extra dedicated developer, but it will be good if someone is there to join the team at certain stages of the development life cycle. In such situations, SOS Usage-Based Hiring is the only solution. The cons is the loss of focus may lead to quality issues.
Projects with Varying Requirements
By utilising SOS Usage Based Hiring, organisations can mitigate risks associated with uncertain project requirements or market conditions. This approach minimises the financial and operational risks of overstaffing or underutilising resources, providing greater control and agility in project management.
Temporary Hiring to Meet the Deadline
To maintain development momentum or meet deadlines, hiring an extra developer for a few days may be necessary. In such cases, the only viable option is Part-Time SOS Hiring. However, this is limited to developers who require minimal warm-up time.
SOS Usage Based Hiring - When to NOT to Use
Here are some situations where you find the SOS Usage-Based Hiring are not an appropriate hiring method.
Roles Requiring Immediate Impact
This hiring approach could delay results if a role needs someone to make an immediate, significant impact. Learning curves and the time taken to evaluate candidates through tasks can hinder quick contributions essential for some projects or roles.
Sensitive or Confidential Positions
For roles dealing with sensitive information or high levels of confidentiality, using SOS Usage-Based Hiring could pose security risks. Introducing multiple candidates to potentially sensitive tasks before hiring might not be prudent.
Culturally Driven Roles
This method may need to be revised significantly when hiring for positions depending on a candidate's fit within a company's culture. Understanding and integrating into a company's culture goes beyond task-based performance and requires more nuanced evaluation.
High-Stakes Leadership Positions
Leadership roles often require a combination of strategic vision, team management, and culture-building skills that are difficult to assess through task-based hiring. The method might overlook essential leadership qualities that only emerge over more extended periods.

SOS Usage Based Hiring - How does it work?
Here is the flow diagram of how SOS Usage Based Hiring Works.
Start a Project with Us
We can not allow you to hire anyone on an SOS basis for a project not managed by us. So, the first step is to start a project with us using the hiring model, such as dedicated hiring, combo dedicated hiring, or controlled agile hiring.
Plan the SOS Requirement
During project planning, we will determine what resources you will likely need at the project development stage, as well as the prices and the level of involvement. We will have a pool of shared resources that you can get when needed.
Schedule the Work
As the project progresses, we will understand when we need the SOS resources. We simply schedule the timing according to availability and project needs. SOS resources are typically resources with special skills, like creative designers, software architects, or load testers. It can simply be another developer to meet the deadline.
Do the Job and Exit
As per schedule the SOS resource (say the creative designer) simply joins the project team and works as required to finish the job. Once the job is completed, he/she simply exits. Only the actual work hours are billable.
Billing & Payments
Billing will be done on an hourly basis. Bills are added to the monthly bills next month for the previous month's work. If you have any questions or concerns about the charges, please contact us immediately, and we'll address any incorrect charges. Please make your payment within 15 days of receiving the bill.
Team Changes
Although we continuously monitor our team's performance and make ongoing improvements, there might be occasions when you're not fully satisfied and request a change in developers. Also, as your business grows, you might need more resources.
Frequently Asked Question
Please check the FAQs below for your questions. If you don't find what you're looking for, feel free to submit a query or contact us via email, Skype, or mobile.
Certainly! You don't need to be a tech wizard to bring your idea to life. We can flesh out your concept through a software requirement and specification document (SRS), a prototype, and a software model, ultimately transforming it into a practical product that fulfils your needs. However, you (or someone representing you) must have a clear vision of what you wish to create, including the concept's purpose, its intended users, and the reasons for its use. Additionally, you should be ready to answer our questions and have the time and patience to review features as they are prototyped or developed.
Yes, we're here to support you. You're not alone; developing requirements is vital in the software development lifecycle. According to the Lean Software Development principle, creating software is about generating knowledge. The more you understand your business needs, the better your chances of success. This is achievable when someone familiar with software intricacies thoroughly examines your business goals and ideas, offering various ways to integrate your concepts into a software solution in an easily understandable manner.
We will undertake this task by engaging in friendly discussions and transforming your idea into an interactive prototype that resembles the envisioned software. Following this, our focus will shift to integrating specific business logic into the software during later development stages.
In new concept-driven software projects, you're likely to initially provide only about 10-15% of the requirements. To define the rest, you must envision the proposed system from both user and business perspectives, discerning what's necessary and what isn't. Prototyping with minimal investment is the most effective way to do this.
Without a prototype, there's a high risk of overlooking essential data and opting for features that only add marginal value to the minimum viable product (MVP). Software dynamics suggest that 20% of features deliver 80% of the value. Thus, incorporating the top 20% of functionalities contributing 80% of the value is crucial for business success. Skipping this step increases the risk of developing an inappropriate system, necessitating significant revisions later on, which could result in unmanageable delays and, ultimately, discarding the system.
We're eager to help. However, before proceeding with an agreement, we'd like to review the project's functionalities, database, technologies, and any existing documents to ensure we can meet your expectations and make you a satisfied client.
Absolutely. It's essential, however, to choose a dedicated developer. You'll manage the project, including daily planning and oversight of work and reports. Our role will be limited to performing automated and semi-automated checks through our systems without directly supervising the developer's daily tasks.
Three simple Steps to Get Started
Working remotely with our team on your software development or support project, you'll quickly realize that distance is irrelevant. Thanks to high-speed internet, premium cloud services, and advanced communication tools, our global team feels as accessible as if we were next door.
Let's Plan Your Project Together
Let's talk about your project! If it's new, tell us your ideas and goals so we can build a prototype together. If it's ongoing, share any problems you're facing, and we'll help find solutions. We'll also outline a clear plan, approach, and cost details.
Seal the Deal with an Agreement
Let's clear up any questions or concerns through detailed discussions. Once you're happy, we'll draft a formal service agreement. What our clients say?
We have used Remote Programmer for last 13 years (as on Jan 2020) and have always been impressed by the quality of the service they provide. We have a fairly complex website with more than 500 MySQL tables which requires a lot of work on an ongoing basis so we opted to use dedicated resources from them. It is a great value for money.

Lutfal and Champa and their team (Remote Programmer) in Kolkata have been working with me since 2003.
Their first project was a pure development project: to rewrite a large ASP/MS-SQL dating site in PHP/MySQL. The difficulty was to transfer the data of 50,000 users from one platform to the other. I had made many enquiries with negative responses before Lutfal said his team could do it. Indeed they did - to my great relief.
